Kolkata: West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar asked Thursday state priests to focus on their specializations as opposed to responding to his announcements to ‘please their chief’. He said either Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee should herself respond to his announcements or depute a particular clergyman for the reason.
Propelling a counterattack, the decision Trinamool Congress (TMC) said Dhankhar has ‘crossed all points of confinement’s and approached him to quit meddling in issues which are not under his ward.
As per the TMC sources, the gathering which has just raised the issue of the senator ‘surpassing his brief and attempting to run a parallel organization in the state’ in Rajya Sabha, has looked for an exchange on the issue in the Parliament.
“All priests should quit responding to my announcements just to satisfy their chief (Mamata Banerjee) and focus on their specializations. I have heard junior Health Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya responding to my remarks. I would demand her to focus on her area of expertise as us all know about the genuine state of the division,” Dhankar told journalists.
Responding to the senator’s remark, Bhattacharya said she was not made a big deal about Dhankhar rating the presentation.
“I am not made a fuss over representative rating my presentation of her area of expertise. Our central pastor can prompt us and guide us. We needn’t bother with his direction. He has crossed all breaking points and should quit meddling in issues which are not under his locale,” Bhattacharya said.
The senator’s announcement came a day after he was indicated dark banners purportedly by some TMC laborers on his approach to Domkal in Murshidabad locale to go to an occasion, Wednesday.
